Life After Disappointment
It’s time to move on Colts fans. There’s no going back. The Saints won the Super Bowl and that’s all there is to say about that.
The 2009 season is over, now begins the 2010 season. Out with the old, in with the new I always say.
There’s a lot to look forward to for the 2010 season and even more to report. There will be key starters on both sides of the ball who will be testing free agency, with the best quarterback in the league due to sign the largest contract in NFL history, and deservedly so.
In a matter of weeks the NFL scouting combine will commence and the 12th Horseman staff will be breaking down player bios, how they fit relative to this Colts team, and who our favorites are leading into draft day — as well as informing and educating you on how free agency works.
This offseason is an offseason like no other we’ve witnessed in recent memory. The salary cap will be gone, and the question many Colts fans and NFL fans alike continually ask is, “Are the Daniel Snyder and Jerry Jones of the world going to just buy up all the best players?” To answer that question simply and put your mind at ease for the time being, the answer is NO, that’s not going to happen.
Keep your chin up people, there’s still plenty of football left to be played in the Peyton Manning era. The future looks bright for this young Colts team!
Keep the faith and go Colts!
