I find it interesting, when someone points out a racial slur, how often I'm oblivious to it. When reading your post, it never occurred to me that anyone would take King Kong as a slur. I didn't, and i have no reason to believe that was your intention.

I'm not very knowledgeable about these things, but it seems to me that the only way we're going to erase racial bigotry is to become 'color blind'... honestly not caring what color a person is and treating everyone the same. I believe your post was color blind, and i wonder how much value there is in someone reminding everyone that color does exist, and we should treat people differently, based on their color.

It seems to me that they interpreted your comments with color in mind, and i wonder if that doesn't negate any progress we've made.

Just thinking out loud here, and there's certainly everything to gain by being sensitive to your readers. But when the reaction does more harm than the action, i've got to question the wisdom.

Sorry for being such a slacker on this, been a crazy few weeks. Things are settling down now and I should be able to address the Internet Explorer issues.

The genius of Polian is that he drafts for need before it's obvious that it's a need. In 2007 it took a lot of people (including me) by surprise that he drafted Gonzalez. But Marvin was not getting any younger, and Polian didn't wait until it became the obvious thing to do. The Colts offense needs at least two productive WRs, and he saw great value at a position that would be needed soon. Better that than lesser value at a position of more short term need. This is the luxury of having few glaring weaknesses.

Last year's selection of Brown acknowledged that the Colts need 2 RBs just like almost everybody else in the NFL. And of course, as long as Peyton is playing, more money will be spent of the offensive side. Which is as should be. So the question is, which guard does Polian draft?

I think it has more to do with your resolution than anything. That's a guess completely out of left field, but you never know. I used Firefox at home on my laptop and IE at work with the resolutions cranked way up and haven't had a single problem.

Either way it's being looked at, sorry for the inconvenience.

Nah, you aren't. I have the same problem. What OS/browser are you running? I've got XP & IE7. The site looks great on my Mac OSX & Safari box, as well as my Win 2k IE6 box. I notified the tech guys (Kyle and Ben) and I think they're working on it. Might try upgrading your browser in the meantime, if it's too bothersome..

These mock drafts are always wrong because other than Peyton Manning; no one else on our team merits any thought to an outsider.
