I'm pretty sure that Chris *has* been heavily involved for a few years now. He was interviewed three years ago for the GM position in Atlanta.

Good article. My only worry is that Chris has been promoted and so on just because hes Bill's son and not due to merit or anything…. but I think I trust Bill too much to make a mistake like that, Im sure he picked the best man for the job.

From what I've heard, Chris is already doing most of the leg work as it is. So perhaps these past few years we've been praising the wrong Polian for all of the great draft picks and roster moves.

It'll be interesting to see how smoothly this transition goes. Doesn't seem like GM would be as difficult a transition as Coach, but that's just speculation from the outside. Good article.
