Life After Disappointment
Feb 8th
It’s time to move on Colts fans. There’s no going back. The Saints won the Super Bowl and that’s all there is to say about that.
The 2009 season is over, now begins the 2010 season. Out with the old, in with the new I always say.
Saints upset Colts in Super Bowl XLIV
Feb 7th
Can’t win ‘em all right? I just wish the Colts had picked a different time to play a mediocre game on both sides of the ball.
With this victory the Saints proved that they deserved to be there, there’s no doubt about that. The Saints were huge underdogs going into this contest, and once the made it through the first quarter they played loose, they played fast, and they played aggressive — they played like the Colts should have, and it won them the game.
The TRUE Key to the Super Bowl
Feb 7th
Over the past two weeks, the mainstream media has been eating up the juicy story that is the quarterback matchup going into Super Bowl XLIV. And while it’s a great story and interests many people, that’s the matchup I’m fixated on.
Look, unless you’re the biggest fair-weather NFL fan ever and have no idea who Drew Brees and Peyton Manning are, you probably know that these two quarterbacks are pretty good. The Aints and the Colts offenses are going to put up points in large part because of their quarterbacks, that’s a given, therefore making this showdown of the field generals a wash for the most part. So while the sexy topic is the great Peyton Manning versus the New Orleans Drew Breesuses, the real story here is the battle in the trenches.
Good Morning and Welcome to Super Bowl Sunday
Feb 7th
If you happen to be searching for your last shred of sanity this morning, I have some news that might help you hold your water, for a few more hours anyways.
I had a dream last night. A dream that occurred on my couch, laptop on my…lap, with an article on my screen half-finished (workaholic much?). The dream was the Colts winning the Super Bowl 18-10. Feeling better yet? Well you should be, because if this article I wrote back in April of 2009 is any indication of my prediction abilities, the Colts are in good to go.
Colts Defense, Where’s the Love?
Feb 6th
What do you think of when someone talks about the Colts defense? I am sure there are hundreds of different responses that come to mind. Some examples from the past include: Cover 2, soft, bend but don’t break, and one of my favorites, the dreaded “F” (finesse). Best in the league, respected, and run-stoppers are not in the common speak. Polian has built the Colts around Manning and its many weapons on offense, and obviously so. The defense has built more as an afterthought, very few high draft picks (excluding Freeney, for example), most of whom are lower round and unsigned free agents pick-ups. But that doesn’t mean that they should be treated like a kid brother, someone who is kicked around anymore.
Twitter King To Be Dethroned?
Feb 6th
Fan favorite and Twitter King extraordinaire Raheem Brock has found himself in an interesting predicament. Just recently there was a photo posted on his Twitter page depicting the satellite image of a hurricane barreling towards Louisiana with the Colts’ horseshoe photoshopped in the center of it.
